Royal Enfield’s much-anticipated release of the Himalayan 450 is just around the corner, set to debut at the Motoverse 2023 event in Goa on November 24th. While the official launch date is quickly approaching, the key specifications for this exciting model have already been unveiled, giving motorcycle enthusiasts a glimpse of what to expect.
Sherpa 450 Engine Powers the Himalayan 450
One of the standout features of the upcoming Royal Enfield adventure bike is its all-new engine. The latest Himalayan is equipped with a Sherpa 450 motor, boasting a 450cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled powerplant that delivers 40bhp at 8,000rpm and 40Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and features a slip-and-assist clutch for enhanced convenience, marking a significant milestone as the first liquid-cooled engine from the renowned Chennai-based manufacturer.

The Himalayan 450 has a weight of 196kg and a seat height of 805 to 845mm. Royal Enfield will offer an accessory that allows riders to adjust the seat height, lowering it to 805mm or increasing it to 845mm as per their preference. The bike is equipped with a 17-litre fuel tank to ensure extended adventures.
For Indian riders, there are three enticing variants of the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 to choose from – Base, Pass, and Summit. The Base variant comes in a captivating Kaza Brown shade, while the Pass model offers colour options like Slate Himalayan Salt and Slate Poppy Blue. The Summit variant features striking colours, Hanle Black and Kamet White. Although the exact pricing is set to be revealed on November 24, eager customers can already begin pre-booking Himalayan 450 from today.
